Hi mate me and a friend went just after the big tidal surge a few weeks ago hoping it may have stirred a few things up. (210m round trip) Loads of sand in and very little finds to show and was very disappointed, to top it all off we went to the chippy for fish n chips to put a smile back on our faces( stickle back n a few chips) gutted we was. we put it down to not knowing blackpool as it was our first trip there so better look next time.
Good luck...

Thinking of heading down in the morning. Hoping some of the sand has shifted since my last visit.

Imagine there is no heaven, only sky above us.
Spent a few hours there this morning around the central pier area. Hardly any signals at all. Still plenty of sand on. Nice cut running through the middle, worked it for a while and only turned up a few hot rocks. Tried digging down to see how deep the hard pack was in a few areas and could not reach it ?
I think I will now leave this beach till I'm more experienced or there's some drastic changes to the sand levels.
Finds for the day 1 modern 5 pence, the usual ringpull and a few lumps of the black tar stuff that gave cracking signals, but alas contained no goodies when I broke them up at home.
