to be honest it would be nice to see some historical artefacts, looking at the history there was a ancient byway run right along side, going back to roman times fingers crossed.

Watch out for the golf balls !
I will be interested to see how it goes as only fisherman ever use that stretch of the beach, as its to far from civilisation.
Some few moons ago, I stewarded a match during the world angling championships along that stretch and had to rescue a pregnant german woman angler in the back of my land rover after she slipped down the shingle bank in the dark. no other vehicles could reach her.
Aaah the memories!!! [:)

I had a couple of hours on the stretch of beach mentioned as I only live a stones throw away from it and it has not been stripped to bare rock, nothing old to be found as the beach in Deal is being replenished with shingle and sand to stop flooding in the area and this has banked up all over the beach right down to the chequers area. The top layer of this has come off but it is still several feet deeper than a year or so ago when old coins and rings did turn up,sadly the only finds now are fishing weights washed up by the recent storms,I found 15 today ! I have searched these areas of the beach for many years and found no coins or rings or anything old today so until all the new sand and shingle moves off the beach it,s not worth doing . ;;z

after actually going down there myself I have to agree to much fresh shingle/sand to detect I think the fisherman that told me it was stripped does not really no what stripped means, still it was a day out,did not like paying £7 to go through the estate though, that hurt.

NOTE FOR THE FUTURE
If you go in from the Deal end through the Golf Club YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY. [:)
