Seen this a few times at Southport now. Only takes a few moments to kick the sand back in hole.
Thor how you doing with the PI at Southport ? I mainly do the pier area myself. Minelab Etrac
Garrett AT Pro Pro Pointer Roughneck mini Hi mwoc . I detect anywhere from the pier to past Pontins. About 5 miles of beach , going out to the distant low tide line. The pier area has given me a good mix of 1867 (oldest) to pre decimal. Though it needs a bit of a blow/big tide to be at its best. A car park about 1/2 a mile south at weld road gives good access to an older section of beach. This area was all sand and dune 20+ years ago , if you like walking it has some good sandbars and gullies . The same is true for 3+ more miles heading south. I have pulled out silver and gold with the Pi and more coppers (mostly 1 pence) than I care to think about. This older section is a lot cleaner and the Pi loves it. Due to the vast expanses it can be very hit and miss ,yesterdays hotspots turn barren with a storm , but new ones appear. The lower sections , past pontins are another area that's been good to me , as are the sandbars closer to Freshfields. I am on the beach most weekends and will be sticking to the wet for at least another month. If you are in the area after Easter , feel free to pm me and meet. I am the big fella on the distant horizon , generally covered in mud sw;

Garrett AT Pro Pro Pointer Roughneck mini This is a pet hate for me to. Has anyone ever fronted up to the people that do this and if so what did they say?
I'm thinking about recording them next time and then sticking them up on some sort of hall of idiots. argg ![]() most of the lads on the northeast beaches fill in there holes, but the dam fishermen looking for worm leave massive craters and i we get the blame.
