I was using my Deus which I'm starting to get the hang of now. I used to use the standard wet beach program but found that it tended to miss a lot of stuff, so now I use it in Deus Fast with ground balance set in Beach mode and I adjust it manually between 11 and 30 depending on how the beach is drying out. I also knock back the sensitivity until the chatter becomes tolerable, around 85ish.
I had a big haul of .303" bullets and a couple of 0.50" heavy bullets (one of which gave a surprisingly broken signal) https://www.flickr.com/photos/blueaeshna/13909518973/ An old boy I was chatting to says the beach was closed off as a firing range during the war which explains this lot, but I was obviously in the "target" area as I didn't find any expended cartridge cases, perhaps they're at the other end of the beach. I also found a nice 1897 viccy penny which was a bit of a surprise, but only 35p in spends. A lovely day on the beach in the April sunshine though.
Happy hunting,
Mike.
