Wet sand / Dry sand.

I am looking for a single machine , one that can cross over from wet to dry. I have read the reviews, read the forums and am still tossing a coin . I know its a frequently asked question , but , which is THE ONE ? Am looking at At pro int , minelab safari and whites dfx. The At pro is favourite so far, the whole waterproof thing is the seller , but I like the fbs of the minelab. The whites dfx is a late contender, but has some good wet sand reviews. I will keep my cs4pi , but would like to be able to take a single machine down the beach and have the wet/dry option. I would really appreciate any thoughts/suggestions on this. Thanks

i have used alot of detectors and 98% of my hunts are at the beach, out of the mentioned ones the safari is the best in my opinion, avoid the AT Pro mate because on certain beaches they CANNOT handle wet sand, GL & HH

Hello,
I use the Etrac and it operates seamlessly from wet to dry and often on max sens. What about a Sov. Gt? You could waist mount the control box then.

Used all these one time or another all work great on beach wet dry

I have a AT Pro and have been on a few beaches with it, in south Devon and Cornwall also east coast
no prob for me. also a friend of mine had the AT Pro in south Wales on the beach there no Prob's
I would see if there is any one one this forum that has the above detectors that could go on a day out with you at your local beach to test them out..if cost is the issue the Pro comes in at £600 where the others can a lot more 2 or 3 x the pro's price, the pi machine you have is perfect for the beach

Hi Whats wrong with your cs4pi I use mine all the time on dry and wet sand no problem.

Thanks for taking the time guys . As for using my Cs4pi on the dry , I have , my beach is way to trashy. I have used it on other beaches (dry) but its a big Noooo at the one on my doorstep. Have watched roamingrobs you tube , saw it at the start of my quandary. Have been given the chance to try one next weekend, big thanks for that . Thanks again peeps. Will post result.

I had the at pro for 3 weeks and resold it would not keep quiet on my beach and loads of falsing, but worked well on land and in river

I have the same problem looking for a machine that can do the wet sand as well as pasture.but when your looking at reviews its a minefield
