WS5 Headphones loose ? Read this.

Post by Jimmyd »

This is just for information purposes in case you didnt know already.

I bought my deus with WS5 headphones last summer but always struggled with the headphones as they were loose and constantly slipped off my head, as if my head were x times too small for them. To rectify this i always wear a hat, not really my style.

Anyway i went on a rally a few week ago and tried on another guy's WS5 and they fitted fantastically - this made me think mine might not be quite right. To cut a long story short XP have conceded the original WS5 head band was of poor design and there is a free replacement repair available.

I sent mine back to Regton and they repaired and returned the headphones to me in less than a week. Excellent service as usual, thanks Nigel. I know Regton's are not getting paid for the repair job.

So it cost me the price of sending the headphones to Brum plus a 11" coil which also arrived today, now how do i get that passed the wife...

I suggest you contact the place where you bought yours from. I got the impression that Regton were doing the repairs for UK customers generally, but I could be mistaken so don't quote me on that!

Its not a repair, but a modification for earlier units to the latest specification to that which all new WS5 are now sold.

Just talk to Nigel at Regton he and the team will not let you down.

Alain is a listening manufacturer not like some others that come to mind. ;) Jerry.
