gold panning championships

i have noticed that a few people on the forum do a bit of gold panning, is anyone going to the gold panning championships at wanlock head scotland over the end of may bank holiday, it would be good to meet up for a chat and a beer. cheers charlie

hi mate, the competion uses real gold and you can keep all you find. also you do not need a permit to pan the river that weekend, still some good gold in there. im the one with curly hair and a pint of 80 shillings in my hand. cheers charlie.
