Camber sands

Post by tener »

Hi all, going to take the family for a visit to camber sands
at some point next week. The euro ace will be coming too.
So I'll be staying on the dry sand....is there any good areas I should head for
on this beach? Never been before so a heads up on any good areas would be great, cheers.

I was at camber sands last sunday & got there about 3pm & the beach was packed with tourists

the beach has several zones marked with letters on signs leading of the beach & i found most my coins near zone G & by the ice cream seller in the middle of the beach, i found plenty of trash ie
diposible BBQ beer cans & empty cigarette packets all in the dry stuff

Good luck, i went to camber sands for a weeks holiday about 6 weeks ago and found 4p i think plus A LOT of rubbish. Loads of cans, bbq's etc buried. Spent half my time looking for a bin.

Depressing.

I was with Mike last Sunday and agree that Zone G was the most productive, I came away with nearly £4 and on a previous visit £5.88. It's worth a visit but is very popular with detectorists as it's one of only a few big sandy beaches in Sussex.
