There were already some detectorists on the beach when we got there but they hadn't found a lot. The mist rolled in and before long the visibility was cut, so Much that I turned off the head torch and could've walked around with me eyes shut. After a couple of hours of modern spends, flakes of copper, ally, and general tat a very faint signal came through on the ctx. At around 5 "muck the diggers scoops" (18-20") out popped a silver ring and on inspection revealed 325 Mexico, then the silver earring with stone, the clad ring was next then the silver rope ring. The light was now beginning to break through. My codeine had worn off and me hips were hanging out. However a very very faint signal of a different nature came through and after 6 scoops a confirmation signal came out, and after settling the pin pointer in the last mound out popped Goldie. 9k looks like 1899 NBs ring help with design would be good as at fist I thought Masonic? We left the beach just after 5 not as millionaires, but happy enthusiasts. On a side note we are doing it again tonight! HH.
If it helps anyone, I was hunting on wet sand, with the tadpole 2 programme for the CTX with seawater enabled very slow and low swings. Cheers all.
