Hi all went to the beach again for a short hunt,seems the tide has dragged a load of sand in and signals were sparse with the ctx with 6" coil. Anyway had 1.53 in spends(toll booth is £1.50) 8 assorted fishing weights a lure and lots of ally and these oldies 2x George v pennies old style 50p and 1960 qe2 shilling. anyone date the buckle please!

Look like a piece from a two piece shoebuckle 1690-1720 - A tongue

Nice old buckle part there must be some older coins there did you try up the top under the cliff were i found the lizzy 1st milled sixpence.

Cheers D, very good reading! It was quite near the surface under a small rock but gave a raging signal. Just need the seaweed and extra sand to go and have a look for the rest. ::g :D

Hi J, it's been a bit elusive at the min I've mislaid me mojo, I'll get it back soon though, Oliver's on a canny run at the min! I think I tried to get too techy in my search technique, I will endeavour to just wander about aimlessly in the dark, it seems to work! :)) :))
