Hi all went to the beach again for a short hunt,seems the tide has dragged a load of sand in and signals were sparse with the ctx with 6" coil. Anyway had 1.53 in spends(toll booth is £1.50) 8 assorted fishing weights a lure and lots of ally and these oldies 2x George v pennies old style 50p and 1960 qe2 shilling. anyone date the buckle please!

Nice old buckle part there must be some older coins there did you try up the top under the cliff were i found the lizzy 1st milled sixpence.

Seems to be after 1720, as the double spike came in use there

Cheers D, very good reading! It was quite near the surface under a small rock but gave a raging signal. Just need the seaweed and extra sand to go and have a look for the rest.

Hi J, it's been a bit elusive at the min I've mislaid me mojo, I'll get it back soon though, Oliver's on a canny run at the min! I think I tried to get too techy in my search technique, I will endeavour to just wander about aimlessly in the dark, it seems to work!
