Waterproof jack plug!
Waterproof jack plug!
Hi all, does anyone know if there is such a bit of kit as a waterproof jack plug socket for my predators to plug into the ctx or failing that a watertight grommet that will fit into the headphone hole and I'll then use the wireless module. Ta in advance!

Look inside the jack-plug cover/module Scratcher..... There's a blank in there on the underside.

Cheers for the reply A, but on my ctx the headphone socket isn't wide enough to accommodate the supplied plug, I will try to add photos later!
I think scratcher is talking about the 1/4 jack socket on the headphone module itself.
There is a stopper out there as they used them on other detectors.
I use the hardened silicon slug that's in the silicon tubes nozzle.. the bit that's always hard to get out.. cut it to size and pop it in works great , but I wouldn't say its waterproof ie 3mtr under water...but it is rain proof used sensibly.. I plug it up and use the wireless module wired to the phones.

100%, the jack plug adopter that fits on the back of the machine above the bty is not waterproof, remove it and keep in a safe place then use the plug that A has already illustrated into the waterproof socket, the CTX is now showerproofAllectus wrote:There's no need to faff about like that![]()

EDIT; i would like to ad that this is only a showerproof solution and to make the machine 100% water tight fit a set of waterproof headphones to the waterproof headphones socket.
lots of MD related stuff

Cheers all, I was getting confused as I could not see how the housing could fit to cover the brass screw housing(ie I thought that the cover would be put back on and I would need another blanker for the headphone socket hole) I now realise that the housing box will stay off if the screw plug is fitted! Soz all for the confusion. rl;
