I live near Crantock.
I have never found anything of worth on the beach, only finds have come from the river with my underwater detector.

Hi guys
saw the pic and post - I have been going to cornwall for my hols for about 20 years now, stayed at various campsites in the Newquay area. Crantock is one of my favourite beaches - boarding during the day and md'ing on an evening when the crowds have gone.
I always seem to find something when i'm there - last year was my best find to date - a fully working Ipod buried in the high tide waterline about 4 inches down. I was going to throw it in my tackle box cos i thought it was a fishing weight covered in sand until i cleaned it off and realised it had a moving picture on it, so off it went into a bowl of rice for 3 days and hey presto....
I'm back down in september for 3 weeks with the loud and proud Ace 150 - maybe see you there
Oh P.S. - leave some spare change buried for me !! - car parking is expensive
