Hi Ferret,

Looks like you had another productive night, particularly when you think how many detectorists were there before you. ::g

Thanks for sharing.

Very good haul ... but why bother digging the copper ... especially at night?

I think the answer to that is - cos' a coin's a coin is a coin! Also, how do you know it's only a low denomination copper/bronze. Plenty of romans found on our beech. Cheers ::g

Why not :-/ they hit the 80's and so do other nice things ;)
I take your point ... but thats a lot of digging when you could be searching out the nuggets!! There is some thing about those 1p's and 2p's and the AT Pro... I find that the machine is never wrong .., that is those times I'm desperate for a signal and secumb to digging the blighters ... but looks like you had your work cut out with all those nuggets (like the name btw!!!)

Hi ferret what a great haul ::g I read your first foray in to night detecting and have to say made really great reading , I am even more impressed by your second nocturnal outing because , you use the at pro , and I want to get one so I can get on my local beach , and dig out the nuggets , I have read with interest good and bad reports about this machine , and the only conclusion I seem to come to is it must come down to the person using it , roaming rob has said the same it's a great machine, well done again ferret Great story just keep on posting them a great read ::g
