Hi all, can someone tell me where can I find "James Burrills, killer settings" for the XP Deus, I remember seeing them a while ago, and fancy giving them a try.

Hi Gez, Is there really such thing as killer settings
Surely it all depends on what sort of ground you are detecting on ? ie: if your ground is heavily mineralised then you may need to use a setting like Deus fast or some similar setting ? if its not heavily mineralised you may want to use a program / settings which has a low reactivity / frequency to get those deeper targets etc.
At the end of the day surely the best killer settings are the settings that have been customized for your own personal ground conditions
There is not going to be one program that is great for all users etc, what may work and be great for James Burrills maybe not be great for you.
Cheers
mrix

I couldn't agree more mrix, but I'm always ready to try something new, as in "nothing ventured nothing gained" and i've taken on board the hints tips and opinions from fellow users which have been very interesting and rewarding.
So keep up the good work on this great forum mrix, it's much appreciated.

This is always a bone of contention no matter what ever detector you have.
As mrix says... every field has a different DNA to the one next door. Even in the same field the conditions can change from section to section. The factory settings are set for "normal" conditions.. it's up to you to adjust them to suit
All you have to do is look at our finds... 99.99% have come from 0 to 5 inches below the surface
https://www.flickr.com/photos/80501866@N00/sets ...... I rest my case
If the location depth average changes over the next 8 months (as we've a minimum of 12 new permissions to survey) I'll be the first to let you know
I can almost bet for sure that ALL the finds will be from the first 5 inches
