Find Points

Post by Craiggold »

Does anybody know if you are able to edit the find point when you create it directly on the CTX. The GPS element element is great, but it would be great to directly edit that point as you record it rather than in the software later. Anyone help? [emoji106]

Its not so much wasting time, I just wanted to stick in a quick note so that it makes a bit more sense to me later. Just a question, if you dont know then thats fine.

Ive wondered the same, so far I have not been able to do it, it just seems to number them, its only when you transfer them to the computer that you actually get to name etc.

Put find in a poly bag with write on strips..... write number matching machine number on bag with a sharpie indelible marker.

yep cant edit in machine but can use Xchange prog and then copy back if you want to go back and re-visit find area.

I do the same as others bag up the find and mark 001. 002 etc...then quickly move on to find more gold and hoards :)) :)) :))
CTX 3030 and Garrett Pro-Pointer. Garrett ACE 250 and AT PRO as spare.

I have approached the problem from a different angle, I have numbered coin pouches that I use to correspond with the auto generated find points created in the CTX, great for coins, but not practical for artefacts
