Managed a couple of hours on my local beach last night after work and after finding the usual (drinks cans, coins etc) I spotted these 2 tokens and thought I'd share...

The first one, I actually found just lying half sticking out at the surface and my first thought was that it was a modern coin. One side bears the 3 Legs of the Isle of Man and the Island's motto "whichever way you throw me I stand"

The other side bears the shop name and location. Using this info, I've ID'd it as a farthing token from Falkner's Bazaar (a local drapers which I've found mentioned in business directories between 1850 and 1900.) Definitely one of my favourite finds so far!!

The other token seems a bit less interesting and I'm assuming is just from an amusment arcade/ vending machine (although it doesn't seem to have any makers name unlike the decimal arcade tokens I sometimes find) I'm also curious as to the number stamped on the back.
