It's all been said but we must say thanks to Liam & Jez for organising the day and providing the land. Very well done. We thought Adam gave his talk like a professional - very clear, fluent and easy to follow. And as far Donna's brownies.............they must be illegal. Superb. Nice to meet so many great people. Didn't find much but a great day out. Thanks again to everyone.

Great day out great to meet some old and some new fiends and big thanks to the organisers and Adam and Lisa who are personal friends and I knew you would all be impressed not only by both their depth of knowledge on the Deus but also their friendly personalities. I have good reason to be very grateful to know them personally and came as no surprise at all that they had taken up the challenge to raise cash for the charity they have. On a detecting note. I was very lucky to pick up an Edward Fourth hammered penny within five feet of entering first field with my first signal. Unfortunately apart from an enormous amount of hedge fodder loads of buttons and a knife shoulder I had nothing else. One of the best moments for me was the quick time I took (holding my nose and protesting no more) to polish off four pieces of Donna's tray bake. I took my grandson along who was also well known by Adam and Lisa and was unsurprised when with an hour to go Adam took out a spare Deus and spade and invited him to detect. This offer he took up and wielded the machine like he had been using it for many years he had a great livery button depicting a standing Stag and a barrel tap key in just 30 minutes detecting. Great day out however I am now shattered as when I left I had a 75 mile drive home time for dinner then straight back into car drive 300 mile round trip to pick up my daughter from Stanstead finally arriving home 4-30am

I guess it's all been said but from myself and my mate (xbolt), a great vote of thanks to all concerned with organising the winning day. A truly smashing day for us all and although my mate and I found little we don't care a bit as it was all about the day itself. Great talk from Adam and wonderful support from Regton's, Liam, Patrick etc and all the others that helped make the day so much fun. Already looking forward to another day in the company of our forum friends.

PS ... Those who haven't should check out Adam & Lisa's website, its full of great finds and info.

Glad you all had a great day ::g
I truly wish I could have made it but I'm bogged down at the moment with the permissions on hand.

I'd love to attend one of the future rallies to meet all of the great people on this forum ::g

Look forward to the finds pictures ;)
