Today's Beach Finds

Post by Greg3 »

Hi

Had a couple of hours on my local beach and found some coins - including a victorian penny (couldn't read the date) and a 10 drachma coin (1990). I also found these more unusual items...

A ring(?) unfortunately not a very nice looking one!!

A strange thing (possibly the lid off something?) with a loop on and small hole in one end.... Any suggestions?

Finally (and my favourite!) A little hinged lid... A bit of Internet googling has it ID'd as the lid from a "Laurel Lady's Boudoir Safety Razor". Possibly dating from the 1930s/40s.

I would have stayed out longer but it was blowing a "hoolie" (I could barely hear the tones through the headphones). Hopefully I can get out again tomorrow!!
Thanks for looking.

Could the lid be the top of a vesta tin? Just a thought.

The ring is most likely a scarf ring rather than a finger ring
