Explorer SE Help

Post by gsxrjames47 »

hi

Looking for some help, Im running the below pic discrimination on my SE problem is its discriminating SILVER X(

I cant run the machine without Disc the far right line as the machine goes crazy with the mineralised ground. It really is a problem and if I can sort it looks like I will need to get rid of the SE.

I turn the sensitivity down but no good.

Any help would be great ::g ::g

Turn the discrim off, listen to the ground..... you have a multi tone, multi frequency machine...... why turn off its good points? ::g

Any non ferrous target will pop through even on the most mineralised ground..... but it won`t if the machine is nulling (discriminating).
Opinions expressed on MY posts are mine and NOT those of any democratic organisation I volunteer for. ::g

Thanks guys

If I turn off the discrim it goes crazy very unstable and would be impossible to detect.
I will maybe have a look at the different tone options ::g

I have had issues when running with the auto sensitivity. (the line that loops round the sensitivity number) I always have mine off as it can be unusable with it on from my experience. I would also lose the discrim on the far right and add a bit more on the top left (so it looks like a small triangle).

Of course, highly mineralised ground will generally be hard going with most machines. Unless you use a GPX. ::g

You sure your field hasn't been done with ball bearings ?? Discrim nothing on the right with just a very small black area about 4 pixels squ on the top left. If you can't manual sensitivity use auto but have it in max 32 manual and then press auto and decrease as needed thus will give the auto sensitivity the full range upto the max 32 whereas if you were in say 25 manual and go into auto you will only get a max of 25 in auto. Threshold you want to just hear a nice hum.. Is it just this field that's the problem ?? How close to power lines, mine is the same in one of my permissions so take other machine when going there.. No cracks or damage etc on coil . Hope this helps sj.
