Hi i have just purchased a deus second hand it was bought new from regtons in july i have the box and the receipts am i covered by the warranty or is there something i need to do?

Why not give Regtons a call.

I believe if you have the receips you are fully covered. I would be surprised if Regtons said you are not..

You will need to phone Regtons to see if they will transfer the warranty, legally they have no responsibility to do so as there contract is with the original purchaser. They may well agree to honour the warranty as they are a good company ::g

I think that the warranty goes with the machine (as long as you have the receipts), not the original purchaser ::g

Owain 1405 & manicdev are both correct, we would simply require proof of purchase from an authorised UK XP dealer (Owain 1405 was quite right we have no legal obligation), the only glitch would occur IF any of the parts were damaged by the first owner in some way (opened & fiddled, water damage etc) they of course would never own up to it if challenged but we do get them so the old saying buyer beware springs to mind.

Hope this clarifies the situation.
