hi
i have issues with erratic signals with my explorer se pro so contacted minelab and they said it could be the strain relief . does anyone know what it is and what is the cost of repair.
strain relief ????
Hey up mate how's things?? I think a stress relief is a type of cable clamp like the one you probably find in the back of a plug top. It clamps the cable so if it gets pulled it doesn't stress the terminal connections. Possibly a broken connection or connector. But I'm no sparks..

Just had a quick look on the 'net and apparently it's the part where the lead joins the coil.
It'll cost you $50 in the USA; no idea how much here though.
Give them a call and see about getting a complete service

I'm outside Old Trafford and there's a guy burning small effigies of Rooney and selling them to fans. Oh, hang on. It's a baked potato stand.

Can't be the coil cause you have tried swapping it so must be connection inside controller.
