Just to warn you all, this guy is still out there. He recently tried to scam me too. luckily I paid with paypal so i did not lose my money. when I contacted paypal to find out what was happening, they told me he said, the payment was for a play station! so this makes me think he is also scamming people with play stations. he actually sent the refund himself probably to avoid any investigation or getting caught.

I got suspicious of this guy when he did not supply me with a tracking number and stopped responding to my calls or messages. I then got one of my mates to text him and ask if the metal detector is still available, he responded straight away saying it was! why would he do this, if i already paid him! I got my friend to send me the messages as prof and have told paypal about this hopefully they get the police involved.

Im not going to give his details out here but his first name is Mike and he use two phone numbers ending with .....9426 and ......80268 If any one comes across these report him as his a scammer.

I lost £1000 last year on Gumtree to a fake CTX, if they want bank transfer - AVOID, if your going to buy something and have their paypal info - get someone else to ring the advert before you transfer and ask if its still for sale, the answer may surprise you.
