Deus FREQ/TX problem?

Post by JamieB »

Hi All,

Bit of a weird one this - I went out on Saturday with Saxman and charged my coil as usual the night before and even gave it a half hour blast in the morning like I always do to make sure it was topped up nicely

About 6 hours in and the coil died due to lack of battery - this has never happened to me before!

Anyway, luckily Saxman had his small coil with him with some charge in it so I swapped over and went to check the TX settings to make sure it wasn't on 3 so that his coil would last the rest of the hunt (I ALWAYS have it set on 2 but thought I'd check if that was why my large coil had died early as the ONLY other time I had battery issues was when I tried it on TX3 for one hunt)

To cut a long story shortish I could not find the TX section at all - I tried every expert setting of each section but NOPE - no TX area to be found?!

When I got home I checked the programmes all again and found that if you go into FREQ and change it from anything other than the middle setting the option to go into the expert area of SENS disappears so you cant see the TX section!

When I switched the FREQ back to the middle setting I was able to see that TX had indeed been on TX3 and probably drained the battery!

Is this normal or do I need to reload my software update?

Thanks for any help

Jamie

It's normal. I'm quite a new Deus user and Gary addressed this in one of his videos (not sure which one unfortunately). But yeah, sub menus for Tx can only be accessed from the middle (default) frequency position..
