There is slow and then there is slow!! i prefer a happy medium, so at the end of the day I feel like I've had a decent walk. If I miss some targets they will still be there for another day...

Thanks for all of your replies, I am very happy with the deus and I am pretty sure I am not leaving much behind me, I am using Garys hot with disc at 3. I just wanted to see if I was the only one grubbing around in the mud for tiny bits of scrap. Maybe time to invest in a pointer!
Pinpointer will definitely help for those little scraps of lead and metal
