Congrats and good luck with the new machine. I'm considering upgrading to the CTX from the Minelab Ex 2 so I'll be interested to hear what your thoughts are once you get some hours under your belt. ::g

The more I see posts like this the more it makes me want to upgrade from my explorer SE pro - I really should stop watching all those you tube videos!! The wife has given me the green light to get one..... (seeing as she spends £1000's on her horse (her hobby) each year it was easy to convince her. I didn't even have to tell her it'd probably pay for itself over a year or two (yeah right!! :) ) Question is do I actually take the plunge, does it really make a big difference over the explorer?

I detect on a lot of highly mineralised iron infested sites, I'm hoping with the CTX it would open these sites up a bit more. :-/

This video gives a good idea re what the CTX can do in iron infested sites.

The ctx is a great machine if given time, i use Gordons 17" ctx programme its a low tone for iron and any other tone dig, works really really well on iron infested sites :-O ::g , i ahem not tried this etrac setting you guys speak about is it a wide open pattern then with conductive tones, any more info so i could try it
