13" coil adapter

Post by martynf65 »

Long shot I know, but has anyone got the Deus 13" coil adapter that Swampy made? or similar? I asked Swampy but he thinks its going to be some time before he has anymore.... I would really appreciate one if anyone has one available? or an alternative suggestion?

Thanks in advance,
Martyn

Thanks for your reply Les, thats the bracket that fixes the angle of the coil, the one I would like to get is the solid block that relocates the mounting point of the coil towards to centre of it to address the balance issue of the coil.

Thank you VERY much for your post though ::g

Another alternative Martyn, is to turn the coil the wrong way round, so that the back is at the
front and the front is at the back, I would still give Mr Bracket a bell and maybe he could
make you the adapter.

Good Luck my friend.

I tested swampys bracket yesterday for the first time .. Brilliantly simple but very effective ::g

I didn't have to tighten the bolt or adjust the coil angle once in 7 hours of detecting

Not only that but it weighs nothing!!

Shame if he's not doing more but that alternative might do the trick as well

Thank you Les,
In the absence of the adapter, yes you're right, just reverse the coil it makes no odds really which is front / back in use, good point with Mr Bracket, I will, thank you Les.

Ar thanks Jamie!! tease me why don't you =))
It must be because he is too busy with his work commitments and cannot tie up his machines to run another batch of these, carn't blame him either work must come first.
Should you suddenly decide you hate the adapter, mail me! =P~

Lol sorry fella but that widget is never coming off except maybe for a coil clean!

Can't be too hard to knock one up .. I think tony (Saxman) might be making one himself

You're right, I'll fit it in reverse for the moment and give it thought towards making something. Wish I had a 3D printer!!
