What is the dfference between AT Pinpointer and Pinpointer 2

I think mainly the difference is that the AT Propointer is waterproof, it has a IP68 rating which makes it waterproof to 10ft or 3 metres, this gives you piece of mind that when your out in any weather conditions you can rest assured you do not have to worry about getting the pinpointer wet, you also have a choice between three Sensitivity levels.

The Propointer 2 does have a weatherproof ip66 rating so I guess all should be fine in most weather conditons


Regarding the AT Propointer In my mind when something has been made waterproof the quality and strength of build has to so much better, I done my own video review on the AT Pro-pointer last year and it really was a quality piece of kit, unfortunately I had to give it away in a prize Draw but its something I would of liked to of kept for myself 8->

I have not had a chance to review the Garrett Propointer 2, I still actually own the original propointer .

i bought the pinpointer II thinking it was water proof like the AT pro that came with it.. Iv washed " submerged" the pinpointer II in the bath and its still working fine.. lucky me..

I just had the Pro Pointer II delivered and the first thing that I notice to the original is that it feels better build quality, also has a hole to attach a lanyard (etc) to.
