Nice one TF, good going there. What do you find the best setting for the modern coins, as the new 5p & 10p like 1 p & 2p have iron in I understand. is the dry beach mode good for this ? I will be on the beach in 3 weeks for our holiday in Cornwall and like yourself have had excellent results with the AT Pro which got lots from the beach
First time using my deus but looking forward to it ::g
Thanks Rob

Hi Morley ::g The short answer is no! So you need to pack-up the Deus and send it to me (post Paid) and then retrieve your AT Pro from the shed for all future outings!! =))

Well done mate I'm sure there's much more to come. Stay Lucky ::g Regards ss47

Nice haul of coinage!, I have been using my Deus since I got it a week ago on wet beach and found nothing, dry beach I have about £11 spendable, a toy car, and 2 junk dress necklaces.

Used for about 7 hours too there, will try your settings tomorrow :)

SS47 I greatly respect you and your views and know you are a very knowledgeable detectorist, but sadly here I must disagree with you.

The short answer is yes, as proved by the above ! So The Ferret needs to pack-up the AT pro and send it to me (post Paid) and stick to the Deus all future outings!! =))

Sorry folks it is late and has been a long day.
But seriously I think the original post proves that it is not only the machine but how it is used that maters.

Good hunting everybody, Deus / At Pro / any other makes all included.

Hi. Would recommend trying the gold field program on dry sand! Yes you have to check the numbers.
But is lightening fast. And misses nothing.

I tried it, machine went crazy!, so I guess it depends on the beach, I even tried lowering ground balance from 27 all the way down one point at a time and there was still chatter all the time.

Found £2.27 in 3 hours though back on the dry :P

The beach was mega packed today aswell, but finds are so rare, I think the people of lowestoft keep their coins very safe lol. :))

I did a bit of air testing with my Deus, with d&f67 suggestion of using the Gold field program seems it will get all targets which is what I want to do, expecting a lot of ring pulls and bottle caps etc but at least they will be of the beach and may even get some nice surprises . ::g

yes finds are getting rarer on the beaches I think mainly people tend to use cards more these days and don't carry much loose change with them, I also have noticed less gold rings being found less getting married? Plus the awful weather we've had recently over the summers.
