Oh well that does not look good mikeb and jones not finding anything................ I have noticed there are quite a few bits of land near that Roman Road which now takes me to who the heck owns the land!!
Its better out of the ground and in your hand for the history or monetary value rather than left in the ground to rot doing nothing for anyone.

Well it looks like its Dove Point at Meols that most of the recent finds have come from and thats I believe is the very end of Meols prom furtherest away from Hoylake and Lifeboat station.

I am not good at tides tables, Whats the time of tides for Meols( Dove point) on 20th plz. I think you can see Leasowe lighthouse from here. What with weather and tides its always stacked against us!

Went to Llannerch-Y-Mor today you need to scramble over the huge rocks and concrete that has been put their as a sea defence. Their is loads of massive really huge sandstone rocks/boulders which I dont think have been put their as sea defence as they would break down its not the sort of stone usually used and it got me thinking where they have come from. You can see the old forest out on the sand but you cannot get to it as a deep channel of water between the beach and that part of the beach . I found this on the beach but too big to get into my finds bag!

beech detecting: you need to be there 2 or 3 hours before low water and follow tides out, when tide turns head back in , tides can turn very fast and cut you off, know your beech and know your tides, buy a set of tables and learn how to use them, low water next sunday 20th is 06.57 liverpool, and 19.30

depends where you are going, at moels i would say 4 oclock , you need to be heading back before tide turns there,as it comes in very quick, and you can walk out about 2 miles.
