Detech ulitmate coil

Post by mad4it »

Just wondering if anyone has been experiencing problems with large coils, in particular the Detech 13" ultimate coil.
Iam using it with a minelab etrac.
All this year i have more squeals and burps than a night with a bad curry,
i thought it was my coil that was broke as when i swopped it back to the standard minelab coil, all went quite,
But speaking to a chap at the weekend on a club dig, he said theres been a lot of atmospheric pressure this year causing problems with all large coils,
when i asked to tell me more, he said, i havent got time now lad, then proceeded to find his treasure,
has anyone else had any problems, is it the pressure up there or is there an alien influance at large x; , or just the fact that my coil is knackered :8 :8

Hey,

I too have been having issues with my Detech 13" although on a Safari, I went out yesterday and experiencing the same erratic signals and poor finds in comparison to my friend whom was getting good finds (Different kit).

Im relatively new to detecting so unsure if its me or the coil, although I was getting up to speed and comfortable with the stock coil.
