New to ctx 3030 help please

Just got a s/h 3030 and only just downloaded manual. There s a tadpole 4 program installed on the detector which I used on a rally rightly or wrongly. . I've got it on 2 tones how high up the horizontal should the 2 tones be set to suit uk coinage please or should I be using a diff program or stick to 1 tone and just dig on the 1 tone as aren't too fussed higher tone for silver etc Should be getting the Andy sabbish book for Christmas but will b out 4 times pry so don't want to b doing a school boy error Any help would b great please. Eg Rec fast Rec deep etc on/off. Thanks junior

Try this....Keep the tadpole, use manual sens max, multi-tones conductive & dig any two way signals(regardless of tone)....don't look at the screen!!

Have had the CTX for nine months and still learning, but for my ten penny's worth l use tadpole 4 and ghost 4 to check out the signals for iron and recovery deep on and 50 conductive and sensitivity set between 25 to 30 hope this helps swing low and slow and be patient .

Multi tone all the way, bottom of the screen blocks (discrimination) anywhere upwards is where the decent stuff is (generally)

Thanks every body. How high up on the horizontal lines do i have to go up to take care of most iron or is tadpole 4 a ok program to start with over the factory coin one or do i have to install the exchange disc and theres programs out there ??? As im not brill or have much patient s for computers. Cheers. Junior .
