Looking for buddy in or near Lewes!

Hello,
My name is Brandon, I'm new to metal detecting and this forum. I'm looking for a buddy around Lewes to go detecting with, from what I've read seems like a lot of good history around here... I've searched much of the property I'm staying at in offham... some cool finds but nothing spectacular. Hoping to search around the old roman road that ended in Lewes if I can get permission from landowners... anyways let's go detecting!

I'm in Peacehaven and have been detecting for 3 years with some success go on organised digs sometimes with the seachers group and have some permission if any help to you

Hi Brandon, welcome to the forum. Have you got permission in Offham or maybe that its at you are staying at some where like the Blacksmiths Arms? My daughter lives up the road from there in Cooksbridge and last year I ran a Charity Dig in support of Hamsey Old Church, raised over £762 for that lovely building. Getting permission around Lewes will be difficult and any organised rallies will at least give you a chance to meet local detectorists. I am up in Norwich! Good luck, Liam
