Thanks for the add guys. I'm a complete noobie to this so please bare with my ignorances. A pub I've been doing carpentry work in is having a clear out and they have a dusty old c scope CS2MX. It base a grey coil on the bottom, a control box on the top and another box around the elbow area. I believe the previous owner died at least 10/12 years ago and it's been sitting ever since. My teenage son would like to have a go at detecting, but as this may be just a passing fad, I don't won't to spend hundreds just yet. I've offered the pub a donation to a charity box of their choice and there considering my proposal.
I understand this is an old machine but could someone please advise what it's worth for my charity donation as I've searched the internet and can't find any for sale.
Many thanks for any advice, Paul.
Advice on an old detector
Still available to buy new, and cscope are a well known and respected brand
In my opinion it would be a perfect machine to let your son loose with

Hope they have removed the batteries too else you may have problems from leaking etc.
But cscope are excellent with after sales service so would be easy to sort out

The original CS2MX would have a value of probably £30 to £50. This was a very popular when it was in production. It is not the one we currently have for sale.
Hope this helps.
