I will give it a try, but Iam in no hurry as 3.2 has been very kind to me over the years.

No other machine that I have ever owned has given me such a variety of finds and paid for themselves over and over again.

I might treat myself to another this year as there's no pockets in shrouds.LOL. ;) :) Jerry.

Looking forward to it, the new audio tones at 1000Khz are awesome! Also the XY visualisation is another great feature.

I cant understand why all the panic.

I doubt users we will find any more than with the 3.0 version.

I say this after using the XP Deus for over 7 years and have seen many owners both past and present getting over excited.

Yes Folks will have fun with the new settings and the oscilloscope screen which while being different does not mean more finds.

Its my personal opinion that the official settings which will be handed down to owners will have some differences to the ones being currently used by those who think that they already have 4.0.

The official ones will be with us all very soon. ;)

Happy Hunting.

Hi Jerry,

I think your confusing excitement with panic, fortunately they are completely different ::g

My personal excitement is in regards to the 'tones' . That's not a statement in regards to being able to instantly increase my find rate, being partially deaf at the lower frequencies it provides an enhancement for me to actually differentiate the tones better when using a 3 tone setting.

As they say, at the end of the day you have to walk over it to find it!

However, you wont dampen my excitement, I'm over the moon about it. !!!

Cheers

You may have a pleasant surprise with both sounds and the accurate digital readout.

My hearing after 82 years + is also getting worse.

I watch and listen with interest.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

I'm excited and I make no secret about it. Little tweaks and extra options just give you more to play with. As for finds, well, I couldn't find any less than I already do :))
I hope that Deus users have fun with it (if they choose to add V4). Either way it's a positive for all of us that Deus are striving to improve their products.

I just got my Deus with the WS5 headphones, my impression is that the Tones are not as "Crisp" as those on my CTX is there any "upgrade" in the tones besides the increase to the 1000 tone?

That is why i still prefer using version 2 tones, they are more analogue as i call them rather than digitized, only down side with using version 2 is that you dont have the full tone option, but as i hate using full tones as i feel they fry my brain i am more than happy with the much better quality audio that v2 offers.

Of course this is personal choice,i also use the WS5 headphones but do carry a set of the WS4 phones as backups but have never used them thus far.

Version 4 may have some nice extra features that folks will gain some advantages, but cannot see any real advantage here of the higher freq coils, predominately the 2 extra coils offer little advantage here in the UK,its mainly aimed at grabbing additional sales in Aussie land,US Nevada and of course the buoyant African gold market but what good are the higher 30 or 50 odd khz or what ever they are on say a roman/saxon site here ?? not alot really.Ultra small gold in (Mods edit) Africa is what the market for these coils are aimed at and not the UK.

Hi Bell-Two,

The increase in tones is a range, the limit is currently 800. As I understand it, this will be increased to 1000 and thus allowing for a range of pitches. The 800 - 1000 range should give a higher pitch tone and will provide a clear definition on those high tones.

Sorry, not used one of those so cant offer any advice on why the sounds may be different on those particular machines. Only question would be are the settings equivalent between the two?

Cheers
