Deus ownership
I've finally become the owner of a V4 Deus and I'm as happy as Larry! So, is there any hints and tips you can give me? Anything I should know? Are there any other accessories I should be buying to compliment it? Can any of you fine peeps recommend a decent backpack so I can carry the Deus on my motorcycle? Thank you!

If it beeps dig it dont take toooò much notice of the numbers. Ive done a test bed and you get funny no s at varying depths and next to iron.If you have a control box fit an adaptered i d holder lanyard with a clip on the end to the stem near the hand grip then put a bit of fishing line through the controler hole and attach the two to stop it catching on a branch etc and getting lost or knocked off.

I use a scooter / skateboard rucksack when I'm on my bike. Search urban scooter Backpack Bag on flebay, its the yellow and black one. Bit of a squeeze getting the big coil in but they are cheep and comfy enough while riding.
Hi Jay, I found that the Deus with 11" coil fitted into a 70 litre rucksack which I happened to have, with room for extras. A decent strong spade is a must, maybe a bit awkward to carry on a motorbike though, so maybe compromise to a mini digger. As you already have a Pro-pointer not sure of any major advantage of the MI-6, but they do look nice. I would buy one if they discriminated against iron, maybe the next model?

You sold me on it, just ordered one! I'm loving everything I read about it, being able to sync it to the Deus is a good touch. I'm a sucker for gadgets and I'm in my element with all this! The Ferret wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2017 10:57 pmNot cheap but after going through 2 Garretts and a minelab this feels like its goning to last longer.Jay76 wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2017 8:42 pmOoh just looked that up, consider it on the must have list! I have tried the recovery mode if you drop lose it etc it works over 80 meters away.
Been using it on the beach and its a god send as the sound comes through the headphones and you can hear it in the wind. Also waterproof and there is no speaker cover to get clogged up,with sand or dirt muffling the sound.
Also has 50 sensitivity settings along with frequency shift and tone![]()
