working a heavy mineralised area so what settings?

the site has a large area of mineralised soil so what would the settings warrant? apart from using a gold proggy.. xy screen shows a massive area of good symbol as if its all solid silver but it must be false so i need to see thru it ..

Have you tried lowering the ground balance might be worth a try
