Buddy "meet ups"

Hi Oxgirl 136,yes I agree with you to a point..BUT...I think that the points you raise in getting interest in "attracting"a buddy can be accessed more fully by actually organising a meet up over a cup of coffee etc,the points you recommend can be easily achieved over a good natter.
I know this works as I used my method of "buddying" up prior to actually going out detecting prior to me moving to West Wales.
Anyway,many thanks for your comments,and please don't get me wrong,its great to have a reply, !!
Mind you it would be even better if it was from a possible detecting buddy.

Great approach. My point was there is so little detail on some posts that I felt sorry for the posters. Saying at least where you are and why you want a buddy though does help people in deciding if they can be bothered to meet for a coffee

Hi Macroman... just putting 'West Wales' is possibly a bit vague... it covers a huge area, plus I suspect West Wales may not have a great deal of active detectorists compared to other areas... so you may have to be patient. The fact that you have some permission’s is a big bonus... but be careful, many people out there are not to be trusted and may have other agenda... especially about your permissions
