![]() It's a good find and would have a back story but the .38 went on long after WWI and apparently they are difficult to date. Have you reported the find? It obviously doesn't work and I'm not sure if your local FLO needs to know BUT it's a short pub story from a bit of magnet fishing to "I know this guy who found a hand gun". And if you think that's daft, any major part of the shotguns or rifles I own is considered a firearm. So the forestocks (the bit of wood under the shotgun barrels) or the rifle bolts, both of which are useless on their own, are considered firearms. Up to you but I would let them know and let them think you're daft. Better than the other way around.
Took a grenade home ... wasnt there a tectorist who built up a collection of bombs in his garage and had to have the town evacuated ??? talk about making an arsenal of himself!

I'm outside Old Trafford and there's a guy burning small effigies of Rooney and selling them to fans. Oh, hang on. It's a baked potato stand.

Does that mean you also have a section 5. If not, then you already know the law. Up to you whether you report it (you'll probably lose it if you do) but I would er on the side of caution, particularly as you have other firearms. (and the post is also in case other fishers who don't shoot find similar stuff) Happy fishing, Chris
@ wvam you are total right, it will be handed in in the hope of getting it returned with a
deact ticket on it, you never know. all the best (IFR) Glen XP deus

![]() any serial number? Let us know how you get on. You never know what you'll find next http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/09 ... ing-river/ Chris Call ahead or visit the police station for instructions before you take it in, but take as many pictures of it as you can first as all you will get back is a receipt.
