Thanks BM. I thought this was the case.
I’ve kept Windows away from my Mac and I don’t plan to deviate from this. I was considering a CTX but, if I can’t amend some settings or patterns without installing Windows, perhaps I’ll consider a different detector to upgrade from my AT Pro.
It’s a shame but there it is.

Yep, you can change pretty much everything except the name of the Mode, so your own programs will just be a Mode number of 1-10. The whole process is much easier on a computer though, as you say.Bridex wrote: Sat Feb 03, 2018 5:41 pm You don’t need a PC to amend, or create patterns or programs
They can all done from within the keypad of the CTX, although

Given the cost of the detector, perhaps it might be worth picking up a cheap used laptop or PC solely for use with the CTX, rather than ruling it out altogether?

I run windows on Parallels on my Mac, better than bootcamp and simply a matter of quickly starting windows up whilst staying within OSX.
I do have to pay a yearly license for this but as I work as a Web Developer I can justify the fee which you may not.

Thanks. Yeah I’m familiar with that route. I must confess that I did that a year or two ago, hardly ever used it so I removed it. Truth be told I think I’d rather have a spare windows-based machine than clutter up my Mac.

Windows 10 can now be downloaded from Microsoft and run without a license fee. (I've had it for months now). There's a reminder in the bottom right hand side which asks you if you want to register it, if you dont..... nothing happens.

Ive been trying to convert this application for ages, Ive tried winebottler and crossover for Mac, I can get the installer to work on the Mac and the program to run but there is no menu functionality.
I am a mere amateur when it comes to program conversion maybe someone here may have more success trying.

Good advice already given, the program is a very basic one and should just about run on any PC, perhaps just get an old windows one just for this. something like an old Windows XP machine, normally someone has an old one kicking about.
The program itself looks like something off Windows 3.11 lol
Showing my age there
