So far Fred I have not really tried other modes being happy so far with the beach settings. I will try different modes in the next few hunts and see what happens. As you say it will be interesting to find out.

Just so you know I won't carry on nagging you about depths fred :D ....


On a US site there are a couple of good reports on wet sand by experienced detectorists which come across as unbiased. One by vferrari was wet sand waterline and he described pulling up dimes and nickels ( CuNi) at 7 to 14 " with clear signals, another poster was a dedicated cz21 user and reckons the Equinox trumps it, that he will save the cz21 for deeper water. So between those two machines it looks like sturdiness of build and uw depth rating of the cz vs the various advantages the Equinox provides.
