What detector to use?

Post by Jel »

Morning all.
I've permission on land that has a freshwater river running through it. The grass up to it is always long and generally wet, the ground very soft. As rediculous as this might sound, do some detectors work better in the wet than others? I have a EuroAce and CS4PI. I know the latter has no discrimination and I would like to investigate every bleep due to the area I will be searching but I do like my Garrett.
I'm just confusing myself about what to take before I even go. What would you do?
Cheers, Jel.

I think you will find the CS4PI almost impossible to use inland regardless if your using it in a stream or not, I have known people to try, give up and go home. it will pick up far too many junk targets unless your ground is exceptionally clean.

If it is fresh water then the Euroace will be fine. It is only saltwater that will affect the ace.
