new to metal detecting , have a garret 400i , been the beach once , anyone looking to give me some lessons , im up for it , 53 years young from liverpool.

Hi mate, I'm based in Maghull North Liverpool.
Best advice would be to get yourself involved in regular digs or better still join a club where you will meet experienced people who will be only too pleased to help and give advice. The South Lancs and Cheshire club are an excellent club but are based in Runcorn. Don't waste your time on beaches, get on ploughed land whenever possible as this is your best chance to find old finds and hammies.
