Power Cable

Post by Steve998 »

Hi all, bit of help needed. The plastic outer covering of the cable on my GMP is going brittle and breaking up. I noticed a week ago that I could see the small wires where a 3/4” length of outer caseing was missing. Thought it was just wear and applied some black tape, just now I noticed another bit missing. So, are replacement cables available? Who from? And is it a diy job to change?

Thank you

Hi Steve, Regton's would be your best bet, they are the UK authorized repair centre. Give Nigel or Marcus a ring and explain the situation they will advise you on what's the best option.

Might be cheaper to get a secondhand coil off a site!

If it's restricted to small sections, heatshrink sleeving will likely be OK, it should buy you a few more years use.
