Flat battery in 9" coil....Won't charge again.

I stored away my Deus for a couple of years in a cupboard under the stairs without recharging it as one should. So you can imagine the coil has gone dead flat.

Had a go at recharging it other day, the control and ear phones no problem, but the coil just won't charge. The light on coil will not stay on to show its charging, just see a very faint flicker.

Had this Deus coming on 4 years now, could it be I need a new battery for the coil or even time for a new coil.

I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who has experienced this.

Not been detecting for a very long time, but I had a trip out detecting with my local club as a guest and used my trusty old Ace 250 and found the bug has bit again.

Time to get my Deus up and running again.

Phoned Regtons this morning and a lady said its best I send it in to them with a covering note of the problem . Just back from the post office now, so will let you know of outcome.

Spoke to Regtons on the phone today, as expected the battery in the coil is kaput, so a new battery is being fitted. So, a little warning to all with a Deus, letting the battery run down flat can possibly damage it.

I have been notified that my Deus coil with a new battery will be delivered to me today. What I would like to know please is can I just carry on as normal with the coil or do I have to re-program it with the remote, as if it was a new coil.
