WW2 Fuel Cap? & Something else??

Post by sirjlocks »

These are my first ever field finds!
Im told the Shell cap could be WW2 from a fuel can, it has a thread on the underside.
The other item intrigues me, it looks like it would have been in a shield shape, possibly attached to something as the back edges appear crimped
It was quite distinctive face, but I can't match it up.
Sorry I couldn't get better photos my camera is playing up!
