Deus light, HF Elliptical coil and iron

Post by dep1699 »

So from another post in this forum and from my experience from today I learned that my new HF Elliptical coil likes the big iron very much (72 on meter). I am running v5 and hot program. I adjusted the ground by switching in progress 10, pumping, annotate the number and give to the hot that number plus 2.
Do you know any method to avoid to hear good signals from big chunks of iron?
Remember that I am on Deus light, so no XY screen for me.
I rarely had this problem with my 9" lf coil.
Any help is very welcome. Thanks.

Stop messing with ground balance fir a start. Then stick with Hot but change reactivity to 2.5 and 26 ish khz. Save the programme. Save standard GMP next to it. If in doubt check with standard GMP and you’ll soon work it out.

God I’m being bossy tonight =))

The real problem was my garden full of junk. The coil actually works fine even on silver. Found this today :-)

Oxigirl is your coil incredibly quiet even with hot program?

Depends on the ground but, compared to the standard coil, yes it is. Remember it uses a different software platform compared to the normal black coils.

Ok thanks, I was on my usual field where the black coil chat a bit, but today with the new coil I found myself checking if it was connected by weaving the spade over it. As far as it find me silver it can stay quite as much as it want :-)
