Hi Everyone

New here, just joined and looking for a buddy to go out swinging with :-)

Just ordered my first machine and awaiting it`s delivery, i`m a total newbie but promise not to show you up in front of anyone. In my early fifties, but physically fit with own transport.

Live in the wakefield, West Yorkshire area, Just wanting to get out and get going with people of similar experience so i don`t look too much of a plonker lol. Just kidding if any experts out there wanna come to your more than welcome lol

Cheers
Stu.

Hello and welcome aboard.
It will take time to feel your way into the hobby. I know folk get enthusiastic and want to get out there at once but it can take time and a bit of planning.
Have a good look around the forum first and get a feel for it. You'll pick up lots of hints and tips that will help speed up your learning curve. Then have a good read up on any advice regarding your new machine. Again, lots of experienced folk on here who can really set you on the right path and save you lots of wasted time and confusion in the field.
Then get yourself a membership of either the NCMD or FID (and the insurance that comes with it) so you can attend any rallies that take your fancy ...you will meet others and get some contacts. Then you will be able to find yourself a permission of your own. That takes a bit of mojo unless you are lucky enough to have land of your own. Its then that a buddy can be a good idea, because you can reciprocate and (with the landowners consent of course) both benefit from each other.
Happy hunting.

Good luck Stu, you certainly have the right attitude, I hope someone links up with you for an enjoyable run out and a chance to get to grips with the hobby.
All the very best, Liam OooO
