What version is my HF coil now??

Hey folks, I’m somewhat confused with what I’ve done here....
So from memory, I got my HF elliptical coil, bashed the serial number in my remote and off I went.
I wasn’t very impressed with the results in the field, everything was very shallow.

Then I think I updated my remote, ws4, 9”, and 13” to v5.

Went out with the HF, couldn’t get the ws4 to pair with the coil or remote, gave up on that and used headphones via the remote. After a while I changed a few settings and it was slightly improved over last time out. The ground had little iron in so I switched to the 13” coil, off I went, it was very quiet at times, silent in fact. After checking 5-6 times when this happened I realised that it was shutting off!! It would reconnect again and off I went. So I went back to the HF.

So I was going to update to v5.2, then I read all the comments about it. Someone a while back said v4.1 is for detectorists, 5+ is for gadgets. That’s stuck in my head. But most of all the recent posts about 5.2

So I got my gear together removed all the coils and the pointer,put them back on (to maybe help with the 13” issue) and updated / downgraded to v4.1. But it only updated the remote, WS4, the 9 and 13”, not the HF or MI-6.

I tried out the 13” in the garden and it seemed to work very well, didn’t cut out once.

So here’s the questions, what version is my HF on now??

A HF coil on v4.1 would not be changed if you were to move to v5 for the rest of your kit.
This is because the HF coil uses different software. So it would have been on a version 4 software no matter whether the rest of your kit was on v5 or v4.

The pinpointer is similar - no software changes since it was introduced

HF coils and the pinpointer don't update to different versions, their software is set up differently.
Confused a few on here when upgrading from V4.1 to V5 and they thought the coils had been missed out of the upgrade.
