X35 coil and coke?

Currently, my Deus on v3.2 with the 11" coil will pick up coke anywhere from 6 to 86 on the remote especially when it's wet and I have to live with digging it up. But, if I were to purchase an X35 coil and update to v5.2 would my Deus still pick up loads of coke in the 6 - 86 area on the remote and would the XY screen show it for what it is thereby negating me from digging the bleeding stuff?

P.S. Why does coke give the best two way signal? It's a pain in the butt!

Have you tried the XY screen in V4.1 with your existing coil ?
Silver paper = vertical line, Coke = horizontal line.
Give it a go, there's no need to buy an X35 coil before you have seen if the XY screen works for you.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. I am currently on v3.2 and don't have a Windows PC only an Apple Macbook which XP don't support for the necessary update. Will need to borrow one me thinks. Reason for getting the new coil is that my original 11" coil is getting a bit tired and rather than just replace the battery I thought I might as well get the new coil.

You can still access x y on 3.2, no need to update to get it.
under Options - highlight configuration - press + and pin point together - now you will see the word advanced in the options menu there you will find visualisation x y
