As said by principia and confirmed by ivortripod "The display of the WS5 you can use only for adjusting your setting" and 'theres is no ID display on WS5"
so at the end of the day something useful was established
XP would perhaps prefer us not to buy the 'Lite' version but rather to fork out an extra, significant lump of money for the control unit....a headphone display is no practical use to man nor beast - unless as previously said WS4s held in the hand or on a wristband etc.

I very occasionally take the back phones ( using Lite) off to check really iffy, just-over-iron pitch beeping its not too much hassle...

Agreed - I have the WS4s and the 'horseshoe" headphone attachment - so can easily see the numbers, but target ID is still more reliant on ears than on the display anyway

My problem is that my headset connection is in itself SUPER iffy and the slightest movement once I've got it working ( I have to wiggle the detachable section about a bit once I've got it round the ears) can short the connection between coil and headset - I can't be bothered to send it back to the shop as I know i'd miss it the time it was away!!!
Anyone else have this problem and/or fixes for it?
Anyway thats why I don't remove them much once working!
